At one point, this was the backbone of MTA New York City's fleet, being featured in movies, TV shows and more. These buses all eventually retired in 2019, ending a legacy in the NYC space.

These were the last Orion buses ordered by MTA before the company went defunct. Conveniently, these were also the only Orion "Next Generation" diesels. These are commonly referred to as "3rd Gen" as they feature a modified rear compared to the "NG" which would've been the second generation model.
