What is your OMSI setup?

I use a Wheel and Pedal set(Logitech Driving Force Pro)
It's good, but I'd like a wheel specifically for OMSI.
I kinda have an Idea to create a wheel set made to look like a bus dashboard.
But usually the ones I've seen online are custom ones made from actual dashboards, which is expensive to do.

I few problems I have with my wheel is that it only goes 90 degrees(Though it says 900)
, the wheel does that "Jump" while steering and sometimes I confuse the keys.

I usually just have my set in my room, but sometimes I'll move my desktop tower, keyboard and mouse to my
living room to play on the TV. And I just have it sitting in front of the TV and use a bench from my kitchen's table set to
sit the wheel on and move my computer chair.

What are your thoughts? What are your experiences with your setup as well?

What type of computer do you use? And how is your overall experience with it on a daily basis and with some games?

For me, I have both. My desktop is from 2015 and it uses an AMD-10 Quadcore processor.
It works great for everyday use, and plays anime visual novels.

It struggles with newer 3D Games though, OMSI plays good, but lags on big maps unless settings are tuned.
The same is said with ATS and ETS2.

I bought my laptop for school specifically, but does it's job. Though I've noticed that my copy of Windows 10 lags where
a school computer with the same OS doesn't.

I don't even try to play ATS or ETS2 at all. However, OMSI does work but I don't use it for playing. I just use it for my projects.

Note: Be sure to also check out my other poll, info about why will be in it.

Hey Everybody! Sorry for not updating the topic for a while, been busy working on my mods, and Life.
Especially since today I'm got my driver's license! Yay!

So this is kinda a small update, I've mostly been working on the 35' foot model since it's the model that is already in OMSI. Therefore, my progress is mostly creating the UV Maps, tracing them on Paint.NET, coloring them, doing my best at shading, and exporting the models for OMSI.

On the 35' model, I created the textures for the exterior, interior, cockpit and front doors. I also lowered my bus model,
which took a long time doing as I had to save each part as a new file with the new height. And because of that, I'm also gonna have to make the wheels a bit smaller as they now look too large.

Hey looking good!
Thanks :)

For the 40' model, I haven't touched it in a long time.
I keep having trouble creating the interior body when I'm creating the window slots.

The trailer version of the bus will be called: "Transmark RE"
as the trailer option was known on this model name.
Not much has been done as it's just the 30' XHF with a trailer.

Though, I need to add detail to the trailer next.

Here's the 30' model

I also just created the interior of the 30' model and added detail like on the 35' model

Any development updates?
No, I've been stuck on both of my projects. Mainly due to blender for some reason exporting my models either too large or facing the wrong direction. However, today I reinstalled blender and have fixed the problem.

General Discussion / Re: About the bus sound mods, curious.
« on: May 27, 2018, 03:27:15 AM »
but to be honest I was asking about like when you download a bus sound mod like for example a DD50 sound mod for the DBC New Flyer Powertrain when you download it, how do you add it to the bus so it works. Thanks though
If you mean about Dash's New Flyer Powertrain mod, his mod is just an installer.
When you run the program, just be sure that the installer knows where your copy
of OMSI is at. Other than that, it's a straight forward process.
His mod is available to download in the "Downloads" section above,
under the "Addon Powertrains" sub-section in the OMSI 2 Section.

Hi guys as you know I may be still a bit new here as I've been using this website for quite some time for buses and etc. but I'm just curious on how to add New Flyer Buses with newer sound mods into my game. So, to reiterate just curious on how you add newer buses into the game with the sound mod but when I try, It pops up as an error. Thanks.

 :) :)
If you mean on a existing OMSI bus and adding an engine sound:
1. Get a video or audio file of the sound you want(ex.YouTube)
2. Use a video or audio editing software to edit your sound to make sure it will make a perfect looping sound
3. Export it to a .wav file(If from a video, use a converter application)
4. Name the new .wav file with the name of the old sound file
5. Move the new sound to the Sound folder of the bus; replacing the old file
6. Run OMSI and test it

This process is the same for other sound files in OMSI buses.

Note: You can add more sound files through the .cfg file located in the bus sound folder.
But that is a bit tricky.

Add-On Vehicles / Re: IC Corporation - IC Bus RE Series

Hey Anime, I know the model is still being developed and all, I was just wondering if the famous T444e engine would be making an appearance in part of the power-train selection. Good luck with college and finals by the way I know most of the IC's run with Maxxforce or Cummins, I just thought it would be cool if the roar of the T444e would be attached to such a  great looking bus. Anyways good luck with college and finals!

Hey man, Thanks! ;D
Yeah, I might add it to the list. To be honest, this is the first time I've heard of the engine.
I just looked up some videos of the engine and it sounds nice :) .
(Also, you can call me "AnB" for short.)

How's the bus coming along? Almost finished?

I seriously am SO excited for this to be done!
So far, I have the school bus version model parts exported to ".dae" files to work on Blender.
The next step me is to start on the textures of the parts, but I haven't been working on the bus
for a few months because of college. Though I have been working on it here and there so don't worry, the bus project isn't canceled. :)

Although we have one school bus in the OMSI Community, will there be more school buses being made, for example, Bluebird Vision, Collins Nexbus, Thomas Saf-T-Liner HDX, etc?
Well, I also plan to build a Blue Bird All American A3RE and a Thomas C2 bus as well in the future.
