What is your OMSI setup?

I use a Wheel and Pedal set(Logitech Driving Force Pro)
It's good, but I'd like a wheel specifically for OMSI.
I kinda have an Idea to create a wheel set made to look like a bus dashboard.
But usually the ones I've seen online are custom ones made from actual dashboards, which is expensive to do.

I few problems I have with my wheel is that it only goes 90 degrees(Though it says 900)
, the wheel does that "Jump" while steering and sometimes I confuse the keys.

I usually just have my set in my room, but sometimes I'll move my desktop tower, keyboard and mouse to my
living room to play on the TV. And I just have it sitting in front of the TV and use a bench from my kitchen's table set to
sit the wheel on and move my computer chair.

What are your thoughts? What are your experiences with your setup as well?

What type of computer do you use? And how is your overall experience with it on a daily basis and with some games?

For me, I have both. My desktop is from 2015 and it uses an AMD-10 Quadcore processor.
It works great for everyday use, and plays anime visual novels.

It struggles with newer 3D Games though, OMSI plays good, but lags on big maps unless settings are tuned.
The same is said with ATS and ETS2.

I bought my laptop for school specifically, but does it's job. Though I've noticed that my copy of Windows 10 lags where
a school computer with the same OS doesn't.

I don't even try to play ATS or ETS2 at all. However, OMSI does work but I don't use it for playing. I just use it for my projects.

Note: Be sure to also check out my other poll, info about why will be in it.

Transit Discussion / The Throaty Buses of Santa Cruz
« on: April 08, 2018, 02:19:34 AM »
These videos are by a Youtube channel called "N Scale Transit Models"

He went and recorded buses in Santa Cruz, California, He claims that
these buses are really throaty. And he's right! ;D

Me being someone who rode in Santa Cruz Buses in my youth, I REALLY LOVE THESE BUSES ;D <3 .
So, seeing the ones that I used to ride in really makes my day knowing they are
still in service.

Here are two compilation videos he made of his bus rides. He made full bus ride videos on his channel
so go ahead and check them out.

General Support / Textures go missing on Gillig Phantom
« on: March 11, 2018, 04:13:36 AM »
So, every time I play OMSI 2 with the Gillig Phantom, there's no problem.
But after finishing a Route and I want to load another Phantom Variant, the MAJOR textures of the buses
go missing. (I get a white blank bus) I've already reinstalled the Phantom THREE times into OMSI, but I get the

same result.

Has anybody else been getting that problem too?

I can't submit this error to the Porais Studio facebook page because I don't have a facebook.

So, I made a repaint for the D60LF and I wanted to check it. However, I got an error message that can be seen in the screenshot below.
I believe this has happened since I installed the updated version of the Powertrain mod. Has anybody else gotten this error?

    ---Federal Signal Corporation---

Federal Signal Corp is a company that specializes in Emegency Lighting and Speakers
for Police use, fire use, and Outdoor warning.

The Modulator II is an Electronic Omni-directional outdoor mass notification Siren
that is capable of a flat frequency response at 2000hz

This specific model features 8 active modules, combined creating a tone at 128 decibels at all directions.

This is an electronic siren, not to be confused with mechanical air sirens.

It's predecessor, The Federal Signal 2001 siren uses Mechanical Air to create tones, and not used as a speaker.
Making the Modulator II model have more capabilities for warning the public.

This is only a static model, so this does not work as an actual siren for now.

However, I would like to make it a working scenery object.

If anyone is interested, I would really appreciate if someone could help me with the scripting of the model.

I would like the model to play a .wav file at midday once a day.

So, if anyone knows how to script sounds, please leave a reply on this topic or PM me.

This will be perfect for the chicago map, as the real chicago actually uses Fed Sig Mod II sirens.
And if sirens creep you out, don't worry, I will release one with a Westminster tone which is pleasant to hear.

Thanks in advance and have a great day!

Add-On Vehicles / ElDorado National XHF
« on: January 03, 2018, 01:58:28 AM »
Hey Everyone! I'm starting a new project.

This one is the ElDorado National XHF bus.
Despite the name of the bus here on this topic, the XHF is currently built by ENC.

However, ElDorado National is referred for the line of Cutaway buses, and ENC for
the Mid to Heavy duty buses.

The XHF is a High Floor bus model that comes in 29, 33, 35 and 40 feet.
The XHF is similar to the discontinued Transmark RE, however the Transmark only came in
29 and 33 feet.

The XHF is powered by Diesel and Natural Gas engines such as the Cummins ISB and the Cummins B Gas+(Replaced by the
ISL-G).

The XHF, alongside with the Arrivo model are the only models by ENC to be Highfloor models to still be in production.
The model still retains it's original look, with the only change being the highlights
(Switching them to Circular quad headlights).

So far, the 35ft model is only built. However, I might do 29' and 40' models as well.

The model will come in Diesel and Natural Gas models.

I'm not working on a specific schedule, I will work on it when I'm able to.

If you want to help with the project, I would need help with some of the scripts and sound effects.

The IC bus project is still on Haitus.

General Support / OMSI takes too long to load Detroit or Grundorf map.
« on: December 02, 2017, 05:30:48 AM »
Hey guys! I was trying to install The Detroit map. But after installing all the splines and objects, the maps don't load. I thought it was only the detroit map, but then I was gonna load Grundorf and the same thing happens. After pressing start, it takes too long to load a small map. I've included the logfile here. Thanks in advance!

Update: While I was writing this topic, OMSI finally opened the window to select where to start on the map. But that just means it now only takes too long to load. I feel it has something to do with the fonts. The logfile said at one point," In "Fonts\FGY_M.oft" there was an error in line 32!" Is this the problem?
